don knotts dead at 81

Knotts died on Friday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, California, of pulmonary and respiratory complications, according to media reports.
It is sad. Other articles indicate he died of lung cancer, which is a hard , painful way to go. (As a side comment, it’s bizarre to me how the media think they’re actually reporting anything when they say a person died of “pulmonary and heart complications.” That basically tells you that he quit breathing and hs heart stopped beating, and that’s pretty much how everyone dies.)

I saw that yahoo headline too. He will always be known as Barney Fife.
The Incredible Mr. Limpet has always been one of my favorite movies. (Jim Carey remaking it doesn’t interest me in the least.) Maybe this afternoon would be a good day to watch it again
