i’ve been marked

I dislike doing these things, but my wife asked me to.

A book that changed your life:
— The Bible

Books you’ve read more than once:
— The Six Trials of Jesus

One book you’d want on a desert island:
— The Bible

A book that made you laugh:
— The Gospel According to the Simpson’s

A book that made you cry:
— Cutting Ronions

One book you wish had been written:
— World History in 300 pages

One book you wish had never been written:
— Prayer of Jabez
— the Left Behind series
— Wild at Heart

Book you’re currently reading:
— Don Quixote

One book you’ve been meaning to read:
— Eats, Shoots, and Leaves (saving for my next flight)
— Power Failure (about the collapse of Enron)
— A Jew Among the Evangelicals (written by local Religion editor for Orlando Sentinel)
— Suite Success (written by a psychologist working on the set of The Apprentice and Survivor)

A category missing that I think should be there is:

Books that made you think:
— Tipping Point
— Blink
— Naked Conversations
— It’s Easier to Succeed Than to Fail

I’m not going to “tag” anyone to do this. If you’re a reader of this blog and want to do it, feel free. Post it up on your blog and link back to this post and/or leave a comment pointing to it.

  • Thanks babe.

Aren’t you sweet! I purposely didn’t tag you from my blog because I figured you’d HAVE to do it if your wife tagged you. 🙂

Wow, you mean I’m not the only Christian male who hated Wild At Heart? According to a men’s small group I used to be involved with when we lived in Pittsburgh, there must be something ‘wrong’ with me because I didn’t like the book and video series….

  • I almost included Wild at Heart in my list. But I was afraid between that and my Josh Harris comment, I’d be kicked out of the Christian community.

My only regret is that I didn’t think of including Prayer of Jabez!
