leftovers
I have just realized that as far as leftovers go, Thanksgiving has the best meal while Halloween has the best dessert.
That is if you save the best candy for last!

Manute Bol, the tallest NBA player of all-time, has one incredible story. Manute is 7 feet, 7 inches tall, 42 years old, but his morals, ethics, and faith make him even taller.
The article talks about how he was recruited to the US to play basketball from his Southern Sudanese village of Dinka, apparently the tallest people in the world. It talks about his financial situation, fame, and struggles of going back to his war-torn homeland of Sudan including his warnings about radical Islam and Sept 11. It talks about his family (his grandfather was 7′10″ and his mom was 6′10″).
I really encourage you to check out this incredible story of Manute Bol.
I tried. The photo I used is in 3-D and that gets a little lost in the 2-D cutout.
Have you carved murdered a pumpkin yet? We did this weekend. I’ll show a photo of it’s carcass later. In the meantime, watch this video that has made me think twice about the gruesome act I participated in Saturday night.
I can only think of five. Can you think of more?
From Return of the Jedi, this is the extended scene that was edited down to what we have now:
1 red onion, diced
1/3 green squash (or zucchini), diced
1 hot dog, diced
Wait, you don’t know how to dice these items? Well, watch this…

Funny how numbers mean different things to different people for different reasons.
For me, 96 represents a few things:
And sometimes it’s just a random number at a local restaurant.
I held this photo for today’s Foto Friday because yesterday we celebrated our 10-year anniversary of our marriage. October 26, 1996 still stands as a hallmark day in our lives.
And I suspect it always will.
What happens when the Clemson QB doesn’t have a good game, you don’t take advantage of turnovers, you can’t establish a run game, and can’t stop your opponent’s run game? You lose 7-24. Dang. We shoulda beat those jokers.

Firefox’s new browser is out and ready to go. Worth the download…if not for the spell-checker built-in, get it because it’s better.
You may have heard that Lost is doing a short ‘mini-series’ in this Season 3. They decided that once they started telling the story of the show again there would be no random reruns in there.
That’s why they started late this fall and will end in a couple of weeks on Nov 8. They will be on a break of new eppys until Feb 7 when they will show the final 16 shows in a row until May 23 (if I did my math right).
Thanks to Zap2it for the dates and numbers.
I got back into town yesterday so today I got to go and catch up with a few doctors. Heh!
What was cool, though, is that as Ms. Sarah Dippidous would have it, last night I got one of the best comments I’ve ever gotten (which happens to be on one of the most converstated blog post I have). In that comment, christin told me that I should check Party City for my long lost Farley’s candy corn.
So I was near a Party City, and, w00t w00t!
That is the best stuff. I need a Farley’s plant so I can grow and harvest it’s candy corn all year long. Or pray Party City sees Farley’s as something worthy of keeping in stock.
