happy canadian thanksgiving

A Canadian Thanksgiving in OrlandoIt’s Thanksgiving today in Canada. Thanksgiving in Canada is to celebrate the harvest (since the pilgrims didn’t land that far north in North America!) but they celebrate with the same turkey and fixins we do. ‘Cept they don’t call them fixins. Or victuals.

No matter, it’s good food.

Some of our Canadian friends were down in Orlando this weekend so on Friday I went over to say ‘hello’ and celebrate. That now makes my second Canadian Thanksgiving I’ve celebrated with real live Canadians.

So here’s to another bountiful harvest…in Canada.

  • I’m so jealous I wasn’t there. Sounds like it was a lot of fun!

  • My daughter was home from college this weekend. I fixed a turkey and dressing,so she could have “real food. ” We said we were celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving too.

And thanks again for the kind words.

  • I’m full.
