I was going to suggest Zevon's "Werewolves of London" -- but I see Paul has already done so.

Of course one could go back to the original meaning of Halloween and sing hymns like "For All The Saints" a day early! :)

How about some of these:

Don't Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

The Blob - The Five Blobs

I Put A Spell On You - Screamin' Jay Hawkins

The Addams Family - Vic Mizzy

Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield

Martian Boogie - Brownsville Station

Welcome To My Nightmare - Alice Cooper

Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon

Little Space Girl - Jesse Lee Turner

Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman - The Tubes

Ghost Riders In The Sky - The Outlaws

Black Magic Woman - Santana

In The Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett

Scarecrow - Pink Floyd

Pet Semetary - The Ramones

Bad Moon Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Legend of Wooley Swamp - Charlie Daniels

Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels

Witchy Woman - The Eagles

Spooky - Atlanta Rhythm Section

And for good general background halloween music, there was always several of John Carpenter's themes from his various movies (Halloween, The Fog, Christine, etc)

I have a couple more tapes somewhere with a bunch more songs on them, but I can't find them right off. A bunch of heavy metal stuff had halloween themes, and another one had all 50's and 60's stuff - lot of stuff from the old Dr Demento radio show.

OK, so in another place and time I was a dj and used to do a lot of halloween parties, so I had alot of this stuff on party tapes.
