star wars for the first time

Ever wondered what it would be like to watch all 6 episodes of the Star Wars movies in order for the first time? Entertainment Weekly wondered too and found someone to watch all 6 in one sitting:

In early October, when we first heard that Cinemax would be airing a Star Wars marathon — all six movies in narrative order, from Episode I: The Phantom Menace to Episode VI: Return of the Jedi — senior writer Scott Brown came up with a brilliant idea. Wouldn’t it be grand, Scott wondered, if we could find a Star Wars virgin to actually sit through the marathon and write about his or her experience?

It’s a pretty funny article.

  • And it shows exactly how people should watch the Star Wars movies–NOT IN ORDER!!! Watch the original trilogy and THEN watch the new trilogy. I remember how cool I thought it was as a kid to find out Vader was Luke’s dad. But if I had watched it from eps. 1-6 (if it were possible) it wouldn’t have been a mystery solved because there would have BEEN no mystery.
